Thank You, Bristol-Myers Squibb!

Thank you to the amazing employee work team from Bristol-Myers Squibb!  Mandie and crew sorted through the 1,940 lbs. of non-perishable foods and toiletries we collected at our recent food drive. They also sorted through and processed the perishable foods from our generous providers that we received. Great work!  Thank you for your helping hands.

Krav Maga Workshop!

As part of ongoing workshops offered to participant families throughout the year, a portion  of the Bentley community participated in an exclusive Krav Maga workshop where they learned essential tools on how to defend themselves if attacked.  This was truly an eye-opening, amazing and informative workshop!

We thank Master Arkadiy and his staff from TKD Elite for facilitating the workshop and equipping all with the tools and knowledge of defending oneself.  Thank you to Princeton Fitness & Wellness in Princeton for hosting us at their facility.  What a great workshop this was for all!  We highly recommend this workshop to all and give it five stars!

Thank You to All of Our Generous Providers

Each week as we go out on our scheduled pickups to our generous providers, we continue to be amazed and so thankful for the donations we receive of truly diverse, fresh and healthy food provisions, non-perishables and more to distribute to families in need.  We thank our providers for understanding our program as they assist and help us as we create access to healthy foods, facilitating healthy diets and nutrition for families who, though employed, are challenged making ends meet.  We divert these quality goods from the landfills into the households that could certainly use them. Thank you for your ongoing support of Bentley!

Highlighting Cornerstone Community Kitchen

Each Wednesday at 11:30, our friend Larry Apperson, founder and leader of Cornerstone Community Kitchen, visits with us and pickups up our donations to the dinner program offered each Wednesday evening at The Princeton United Methodist Church.  We load Larry’s pickup truck with provisions boxed and bagged ready to go of fresh lettuces, fruits and vegetables, diverse quality breads and desserts, sometimes meats, chicken, sausages, hot dogs, crackers, non-perishables and more.  Since the fall of 2013, Bentley Community Services donations help to provide and feed the vulnerable population served by this dinner program, as they choose provisions to bring back to their households after eating a healthy and nutritious meal prepared and delivered by The Trenton Area Soup Kitchen.

The Cornerstone Community Kitchen (PCCK) located at The Princeton United Methodist Church, 7 Vandeventer Avenue Princeton, NJ offers a free and nutritious meal every week, even on holidays. Volunteers from the community serve the meal from 5 to 6:30 p.m. on Wednesdays. In partnership with the Trenton Area Soup Kitchen (TASK), this ministry of PUMC now serves more than 100 people each week. Some come for the food, some for the fellowship and friendly atmosphere. All are welcome.
