Weekly Distribution

At Bentley each week, clientele families benefit from receiving a full shopping cart, additional provisions, fresh flowers and plants.  This has a full impact on the entire household, as we offset/eliminate weekly grocery bills for clientele. Crucial monies are saved enabling families to pay bills, expenses and reduce debts and get on the fast track to recovery. Bentley creates access to and provides healthy foods, facilitating healthy diets and nutrition.  We are very grateful to our generous providers of provisions for their help and support in giving us such high quality foods, toiletries and household products to help our neighbors in need.

Thank You, Dr. Markowitz!

We thank Dr. Stephen Markowitz, staff and clientele for their generous donations of non-perishable foods and toiletries.  The office held another successful holiday collection drive that helps replenish our inventory. We greatly appreciate your help and support! Such a warm and welcoming office and always a special treat to see Bono!

Thank You, Assemblyman Roy Freiman, District 16!

We were honored to have Assemblyman Roy Freiman, District 16 and two staff members, Julianna and Michele visit us this week to offer helping hands.  Their visit, originally scheduled in April for National Volunteer month, was postponed due to the pandemic. We thank them for choosing Bentley Community Services Food Pantry to volunteer at and thank them for their truly great work!

Thank You!

A big thank you to Helena and Kathy from Bristol-Myers Squibb who came over to Bentley to offer helping hands checking and sorting the high quality foods and other products that we receive.  They did such tremendous work!

A Unique and Different Type of Food Pantry

At Bentley Community Services Food Pantry, clientele receive weekly a shopping cart full of high quality, mostly fresh and healthy foods where we help by offsetting/eliminating weekly grocery bills.  Crucial monies are saved to pay down debts as these families get on the fast track toward self-sufficiency.

Thank You, Claire and Welcome Erin!

Pictured at left is Claire and sister Erin.  After completing her freshman year at college, Claire offered to volunteer back at Bentley for the summer.  Claire also volunteered on Saturdays and at food drives throughout her high school years with us and we greatly thank her for her help then and now.  Claire recently left back to college for the start of her second year and as much as we will miss her, we gained and welcome her sister, Erin as a volunteer! Thank you Claire and Erin! Best wishes!

In Memorium

With deep sadness we share the passing of our former driver and friend, Mark. Mark lost his battle with cancer and we grieve his loss. With us since 2014, Mark was truly an integral part of the Bentley universe. Not only did he drive our box truck to pick up provisions until the end of 2019, Mark trained other drivers and always helped us with so many diverse tasks and projects throughout the years. He interacted with all of our providers of products, volunteers and clientele families. We will truly miss Mark, his sense of humor and the stories he told us! We are happy and blessed to have known him. May he rest In peace.  Well Done, Good and Faithful Servant!

Thank You, Trader Joe’s!

Our friends at Trader Joe’s came again with another team to visit us this week!  The team toured our warehouse facility, helped us get ready for distribution by packing full shopping carts of high quality foods to distribute to clientele and met and spoke with the families. Trader Joe’s is an amazing generous provider to Bentley and they enjoyed packing their wide range of delicious products into the shopping carts along with our other generous providers’ provisions! Thank you for your ongoing help and support!
