Bentley – Honored and Privileged to Serve

It truly is an honor and privilege to serve working families in our communities, not qualifying for assistance and in need of relief during their struggles making ends meet.  By providing and creating access to a full range of fresh and nutritious foods and more weekly, families save crucial monies to put towards reducing debts, paying monthly bills, medical costs and making a much needed repair. By doing this weekly, families get on the fast track towards recovery, fulfilling their goal of self-sufficiency. And, their households have a diverse amount of healthy, fresh and nutritious foods and staples to feed their families.

In 2016, Bentley redistributed 287,620 lbs. of surplus foods donated from our generous providers and helping hands volunteers helped us by logging 17,862 volunteer hours!

Thank you to the entire community at Bentley Community Services!

Bentley, in addition to truly healthy and nutritious fresh food provisions, is blessed to receive the most beautiful and diverse array of flowers and plants from Trader Joe’s each week.  Families are so grateful to receive these, adding bursts of color, enjoyment and happiness throughout their homes!  Working with the flowers, the end results are magnificent!

Thank You, Novo Nordisk!

Employee work teams from Novo Nordisk offered their helping hands at the Bentley warehouse distribution facility, sorting perishable and non-perishable food provisions, flowers and plants from our scheduled pickups and non-perishable food provisions and toiletries from our food drive.  We were blessed to have them offer their helping hands Saturday and Monday!  They chose Bentley for their philanthropic days of giving in celebration of Martin Luther King and we thank everyone for their terrific work!

Happy & Adorable Rian!

How cute and adorable is this?  A gingerbread house kit from Trader Joe’s was distributed to one of the families and they were so thrilled and excited.  That same evening little Rian is putting the finishing touches on and could not resist a little taste!
