Highlighting Cornerstone Community Kitchen

Each Wednesday at 11:30, our friend Larry Apperson, founder and leader of Cornerstone Community Kitchen, visits with us and pickups up our donations to the dinner program offered each Wednesday evening at The Princeton United Methodist Church.  We load Larry’s pickup truck with provisions boxed and bagged ready to go of fresh lettuces, fruits and vegetables, diverse quality breads and desserts, sometimes meats, chicken, sausages, hot dogs, crackers, non-perishables and more.  Since the fall of 2013, Bentley Community Services donations help to provide and feed the vulnerable population served by this dinner program, as they choose provisions to bring back to their households after eating a healthy and nutritious meal prepared and delivered by The Trenton Area Soup Kitchen.

The Cornerstone Community Kitchen (PCCK) located at The Princeton United Methodist Church, 7 Vandeventer Avenue Princeton, NJ offers a free and nutritious meal every week, even on holidays. Volunteers from the community serve the meal from 5 to 6:30 p.m. on Wednesdays. In partnership with the Trenton Area Soup Kitchen (TASK), this ministry of PUMC now serves more than 100 people each week. Some come for the food, some for the fellowship and friendly atmosphere. All are welcome.
